Doctor Christopher Getchell is an orthodontist who believes in being involved in his profession and with his Colleagues. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Georgia Dental Association. He frequently participates in continuing education to remain aware of advances in his profession.
Dr. Getchell earned his bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. From there he went on to graduate at the top of his class from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Getchell then focused on his specialty training at Tufts University where he earned his Postgraduate Degree in Orthodontics. He was awarded the honor of Hinman Scholar in 1993. Dr. Getchell has also been inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the International Dental Honor Society. In addition, he is a past president of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists (2006-2007) and Georgia's Director to the Southern Association of Orthodontists (2014-2017). He is a proud husband and father who enjoys traveling with his wife Sarah, hiking with their Alaskan Klee Kai Floki, cooking, hockey, and graphic design.
